Apple to announce iPhone 5 on September 12
With invitations having been sent to the media about the impending press conference scheduled to take place on the 12th, Apple is all set to come up with the iPhone 5 on its event at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts. Even though the invitation hardly mentions anything in respect to the upcoming iPhone 5 but it couldn’t have been more obvious. 12th September in bold on the invitation is a clear tip off for what has been long rumoured; that following the conventional cycle of its launches, the iPhone 5 is due somewhere around September or October.
With so many leaked photos and predictions regarding the features of the new iPhone 5, there seems quite little left with Apple to offer as a surprise. There has been quite a lot of speculation and the online leaks in terms of the features, motherboard, batteries, and the looks are numerous. In spite of so much speculation, Apple has not come up with any public statements regarding the features of the iPhone 5. Leave alone the specifications of the iPhone 5; Apple is high on secrecy as it is yet to confirm that it is even launching a new iPhone.
With the launch of the iPhone making it to the headlines every now and then, a lot is being expected on the ‘features’ front. The leaked images portray the revolutionary approach being a little taller and about 30 per cent thinner than its predecessor. Though the Apple iPhone has been displaying a screen length of 3.5 inches for quite some time, the newer taller version might even have a screen size of 4 inches. However no radical measures are being expected as far as the screen width is concerned. It is also expected to display a much smaller dock connector and slot in 4G connectivity to provide higher speed for browsing with networks that are 4G compatible. It is even quite possible that the phone comes up with a dock-free or wireless version as was recently seen in the case of the Nokia Lumia 920. It wouldn’t be a surprise if there are some changes in the RAM to provide greater processing speed to the device.
Launched just about three months ago, the Samsung Galaxy S III has already sold about a 20 million units which is a record for an android smartphone. The Apple iPhone can never miss out on the appeal and charm. Though a lot people often contemplate on waiting for the newer version of the iPhone, the contemplation remains a mere contemplation. There have quite some records as far as the sales figures of the Apple iPhone are considered. With the iPhone 5 proposing to come with such revolutionary features as never seen before in the iPhone series, it is hard to miss out this one. Even with strong competition from the Galaxy S3, the iPhone offers its own class. With the impending and rumoured launch of the iPhone 5 on the 12th of September, it has become a MUST BUY!!!
