Galaxy S III, Nokia Lumia 920 and iPhone 5 will dazzle the mind of consumers with their unique and distinctive features. This is the fight between the three major platforms present in smart phones, Android, Windows phones and Apple’s iOS. Although, Lumia 920 and iPhone 5 are yet to hit the stores, but they can be compared based on the information released. They could be evaluated based on the following major features.
Looks and Design
The iPhone 5’s aluminium back gives it a tough design and a nice metal finish. The glassy look at the front gives it the elegant look. Moreover, its design has been improved and it can sustain some more drops than the previous versions. Apple has managed to keep its iPhone very handy indeed while increasing the screen size.
Then there is Nokia Lumia 920, which comes in vibrant, simple colours which gives the edge above the other smart phones which generally come in black and white looks. Not only does it looks quite good on the hand, but is also very comfortable when you are holding it. So, it is good one when you are showing it off but the plastic is not very fascinating.
Galaxy S III is a quite tall one among these. But, it still manages to be handy because of its sleek look and curve design. But, it boasts the plastic look which misses the standards set by the iPhones. But it doesn’t mean that it is going to break or something. Rather, it will not shatter like an iPhone will, if it suffers a fall from a good height.
Display and clarity
The new 4 inch screen of the iPhone 5 has a high-resolution of 1136×640 pixels that comes down to 326 pixels per inch. The increased screen size delivers videos in a 16:9 widescreen mode and very clear view. And it also has a unique retina display with 44 % more colour saturation than iPhone 4S which also brings down glare.
Nokia’s Pure Motion HD+ display present in Lumia 920 poses a high-resolution of 1280×768 pixels also termed as WXGA. Its 4.5 inch screen has the AMOLED technology. It is 332 pixels rich per inch.
Samsung galaxy S3 possesses the largest screen among these three giving the same resolution as Lumia 920. But, it has the lowest pixel ratio and higher reflection than other two.
The Camera
In these area, all three of them provide the best. iPhone has always been the better one in this area but other brands have really closed in. All three of them have approximately the same resolution of 8MP. iPhone manages to keep its benchmark in terms of quality by improving the performance in low lights and advanced image enhancing system.
Galaxy S3, in addition to the previous features, has some fascinating shooting modes like Burst mode that makes it no less than a digital camera. Lumia 920 gives the best camera experience when compared to iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3. The PureView technology has some great effects and app connection.
Battery Backup
These three have almost the same capacity in terms of battery life. Lumia 920 has a 2K mAh battery which should be enough for a Windows phone. Galaxy S3 has a bit larger battery of 2100 mAh. iPhone 5 also provides good battery backup with 8 hours of LTE surfing.
NFC
This is a lacking feature in iPhone 5. Samsung has been providing this feature for quite a time now. NFC allows some advanced file sharing across phones.
Overall, it’s going to be quite a tough decision to choose over these incredibly smart devices as they all feature great advanced technologies.
