iPhone 5 is made up of only aluminium and glass. iPhone 5 is the world’s thinnest smart phone. It is 7.6 mm thick and weighs 112 grams. It will be available in white and black each having different back aluminium plating. The 4 inch retina display with a resolution of 1136 x 640 and 44% colour saturation, displays videos in 16:9 widescreen mode. In addition of the four shortcuts on the bottom, it has five rows of apps. All the apps have been optimized according to the screen size showing more stuff. The price of iPhone 5 will be the same as iPhone 4S costing $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64GB.

iPhone 5 is equipped with LTE with a max speed of 100 Mbps compared to the 42 Mbps of DC-HSDPA. The A5 chip has been enhanced to A6 which is 2X faster, 22% smaller and more energy-efficient than A5. iPhones have been known for longer lasting battery than all the available smart phones. iPhone 5 has lived up to that with a battery that offers 10 hours of browsing on WiFi and 8 hours of LTE talk time.

The camera of iPhone 5 is what you don’t even get to see in many digital cameras. The 8 megapixel, 5 element lens is capable of capturing a 28 megapixel panoramic view. The low light mode has been optimized to provide 2 f-stops better performance. Videos can be recorded at 1080p HD resolution with the new face detection technology. Video calls on FaceTime will be clearer than ever with a 720p front camera.

Connectivity of iPhone 5 is now referred as “Thunderbolt and Lightning”. The wireless connectivity allows the users to access audio via Bluetooth, sync to iTunes over WiFi, and can download all the personal contents using iCloud. The connector wire has also been changed to a smaller one incorporating the thinner phone.
A new version of Safari has been developed for the new iPhone 5. Now, one can open tabs on Safari by simply using iCloud Tabs which enables us to share the tabs from Chrome or Firefox on our desktop.

A new iTunes store will be available in the new Apple products. The new iTunes is simpler and contains more media. The interface has been improved with new advancements like “coming next” button and “mini player”. Playlists are easier to create and new songs can be previewed while browsing at the same time.
The seventh generation iPod Nano has also been released which is thinner and has a larger screen size. It is now equipped with Bluetooth and many more new features. iPod Touch’s fifth generation is out now with iPhone 5’s display and lightning connector. It has a new 5 megapixel iSight camera and with an improved gaming experience.

A new earphone will be available for all Apple products known as the EarPod. Its incredible new shape increases the air flow, thereby increasing the sound quality.
The price of 16 GB iPod Nano will be $149 whereas iPod Shuffle will stick to $49. 4th gen iPod touch stays around, 16GB for $199 or 32GB for $249. The prices for 5th gen iPod touch 32GB is $299 or 64GB for $399. The iPod Touch and Nano will be available in October.
